I currently have the 708 and a snap on verus pro.My shop is going to purchase a new scan tool. Looking at the elite but have a question about coding. I had a 2010 Chevy Silverado in that the electronic brake module needed  coded/flashed. Does this tool do that? Or is it a tech2 thing? Want a scan tool that can handle this kind of problem when needed. Hate going to dealership. Thank you!

It has little or no programming capabilities on GM`s. It does come with the Jbox so you can do calibration updates and install emission related modules.

You can just connect the jbox to a PC and purchase a TIS 1 day subscription for $55 USD and flash it with their program.

Hey Tommy, I have lived/worked in a Snappy only independent shop for the past 10 years & have found after purchasing & getting used to the different format type of the Maxisys Pro that I purchased 3 years ago that Snappy is becoming 2nd rate as far as aftermarket scan tool functionality. On going updates is awesome in comparison to 1 or 2 a year & the J-Box is the magic that allows flashing a breeze with the proper manufacturer subscriptions. Just my 2 cents.
